Waterbury Silverbacks Stymied by Weston Barons, 8–1

The Waterbury Silverbacks had trouble keeping up with the Weston Barons in an 8-1 loss on Saturday. The Barons put together an impressive day on offense, leading to their win.
Casey Sexton took the loss for Waterbury. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering two runs (zero earned) on zero hits, striking out four and walking three. He pitched very well, but the game would fall apart for Waterbury after that.
Michael Fiatarone and David Braun each collected one hit for Waterbury Silverbacks. Berto Cantalini had the lone run batted in. Colin Gevry had two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game.
Waterbury gets another go on Tuesday, weather permitting.
