Waterbury Silverbacks Beat Danbury LakeHounds

The Waterbury Silverbacks topped the Danbury LakeHounds 5-2 on Friday.

The LakeHounds were the first to get on the board in the second when Matt Morehouse singled, scoring one run.

The Silverbacks took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. David Braun doubled, scoring three runs, to give the Waterbury Silverbacks the lead, 3-1.

Jake Harmony earned the win for Waterbury. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking none. Nick Parker opened the game for Danbury. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs over six innings, striking out three and walking four. Casey Sexton collected the save.

Braun went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Colin Gevry, Pierce Cowles, James Marino, Michael Fiatarone, Cam Willis, Maico Cardona, and Braun each collected one hit for Waterbury.
