The Waterbury Silverbacks Fell to the West Haven Sailors in a Close, Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the bump on Friday, but the West Haven Sailors were just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over the Waterbury Silverbacks. Logan Pulitano started the game for Waterbury Silverbacks and recorded six outs.
West Haven was the first to get on the board in the first when Tim Capp singled, scoring one run.
Zach Drewry walked in the third, which helped Waterbury Silverbacks tie the game at one. The Silverbacks were right in it until the Sailors reached on an error in the seventh inning.
Jake Harmony pitched four innings in relief for Waterbury Silverbacks. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one. Max Krom took the loss for Waterbury Silverbacks. The hurler went one inning, giving up two runs (zero earned) on one hit, striking out one and walking none. Pulitano began the game for Waterbury Silverbacks as mentioned before. The starter allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking one.
Drewry, Ben Stewart, David Braun, and Devin Kulas each collected one hit for Waterbury. Will Bartoli led Waterbury with two walks. Despite the loss, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. They failed to capitalize on the walks, but they put runners in scoring position often.
The Silverbacks will look to bounce back when they play the Weston Barons next
