Strong Hitting Not Enough As Waterbury Silverbacks Falls To Bridgeport Barnums

The Waterbury Silverbacks fell 2-1 to the Bridgeport Barnums on Tuesday despite out-hitting them five to four. James Marino led the Silverbacks with two hits.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bridgeport pitchers struck out two, while Waterbury sat down 10.
Bridgeport got on the board in the first inning after Will Stellato singled, scoring one run.
Zander Kasbarian started on the mound for the Silverbacks. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jimmy Muthersbaugh began the game for Bridgeport Barnums. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking none.
Ben Stewart led the team with one run batted in.
Stellato provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Bridgeport Barnums with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Jose Vasquez stole two bases.
