Five Silverbacks, Including Four Underclassmen, Chosen as 2026 CCBL All Star Members

Waterbury will be sending five first-time All-Stars to the 2026 CCBL All-Star Game, four of which are underclassmen. The youth movement has helped the Silverbacks to a solid standing in the first half of their season.
Freshman Kevin Cestari has been named to the All-Star team after a strong first half all over the diamond. The Southern Connecticut State University utility man has responded quite well to his numerous responsibilities for the club.
Joe Fasano has taken a leap in his sophomore year with Waterbury, making large contributions both on the mound and at the plate. The Western Connecticut State product has earned his first All-Star nod after asserting himself as a core piece for the Silverbacks.
The lone upperclassman, junior pitcher Greg Mable, has been one of the key pieces of the Waterbury pitching staff in the team’s first half. He looks to continue his All-Star season with an equally strong second half on the bump.
First-year outfielder Aaron Morice burst onto the scene for the Silverbacks by being one of the team’s most reliable defenders in his debut season.
Miles Perez has inserted himself as a fearful hitter for Waterbury in the first half of his rookie year with the club. The Post University outfielder is the fifth and final All-Star that Waterbury will be claiming this season.
