Consistent Danbury Bats are the Difference in Waterbury Loss

In Wednesday’s matchup between Danbury and Waterbury, the Lakehounds tallied two runs in their first three chances on offense, quickly jumping out to a comfortable lead they wouldn’t look back on. The Silverbacks fell by a final score of 8-2.
Danbury jumped on Waterbury starter Braydon Sturino early. Sturino lasted three innings while giving up four hits and six runs before being relieved by Greg Mable, who supplied three innings of his own while allowing two runs (zero earned) and struck out two.
Waterbury’s only two runs in the game both came in the top of the third. With two runners on, Caleb Camp doubled to drive home both Zaid Vohra and Matt Krenecki to cut the initial deficit in half. Vohra recorded a multi-hit game in the loss.
Waterbury finds themselves in the midst of four road games in the span of four days, with their third game in as many days coming tomorrow evening against the Goldstar Generals.
