Big Third Inning Leads Glastonbury Arrows Past Waterbury Silverbacks

Alex Zimmerman earned the win for the Arrows. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out one and walking one. Casey Sexton took the loss for Waterbury Silverbacks. The starter went three innings, giving up 10 runs (seven earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two.
Joseph Fasano went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Waterbury in hits.
The Glastonbury Arrows defeated the Waterbury Silverbacks 11-0 on Friday thanks in part to six runs in the third inning.
Glastonbury jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Torrey Pursel singled, scoring one run, Elliot Hamilton doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, and James Marsden hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Glastonbury scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Cam Baker singled, scoring one run, Pursel doubled, scoring one run, Tyler Powell singled, scoring one run, Hamilton hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and a dropped third strike scored one run.
