All-Stars Cestari and Perez Named as Waterbury’s Players of the Week

In addition to being named to each of their first All-Star games, starter Kevin Cestari was named the Silverbacks Pitcher of the Week while first-year player Miles Perez was named as the team’s Player of the Week from July 5 to July 11.
In their July 8 game against Meriden, Cestari threw three innings while allowing just three hits and one earned run, striking out three in the matchup. Cestari was rewarded for the performance and overall first half on the mound by earning a spot on the CCBL’s All-Star pitching staff.
Miles Perez, another first-time All-Star for Waterbury, recorded a slashline of .500/.667./.500 during the week for the Silverbacks. The outfielder wraps up his impressive start to his Waterbury career with a Player of the Week Award and All-Star nod.
